grateful friday

I'm grateful for...

  • digital ear thermometers
  • fast acting antibiotics
  • stickers and lollipops received at the doctor's office
  • Gammy's chicken noodle soup, delivered last night to heal the sick and exhausted
  • sneaking away for a late night showing of Capote
  • cat naps in the afternoon
  • Madagascar, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Monsters Inc.
  • the yogurt puddle in the middle of the living room , the trail of Teddy Grahams, the tub filled with plastic food, the candlestick scattered all over the floor in several different pieces, the 100 times I yelled at him to get out of his dad's closet and leave the hiking boots alone, because all of this means he's feeling like his old self again
  • the single strand of gray (my first--or the first I've noticed) I found this morning while curling my hair--it's a sign of a life that is full and overflowing

I'm so glad to hear Britton is feeling better!

I hope that also means Michelle will get some rest this weekend. :-)

yay for britton and feeling better...! I know what that's like, to have a sick child... to want them to feel better, feel normal.

oh, and I'm going to try to look at my three (!) strands of grey hair the same way-- life, full and overflowing... I love it.

Glad B's feeling better! So is mine, and I never thought I'd be greatful for the mess, but your right, it's nice to see them back to their old selves.

So glad that your little man is feeling better - and that you welcome that gray hair! It's a refreshing change from the normal freak-outness that surrounds going gray.

And don't kids have the coolest medicine these days? Like medicine in the lollipop things?

The recovery of the care giver sometimes takes longer. I'm glad he's feeling better - be good to yourself. Did you like Capote?

I agree with Alex. I'm thankful just to breathe, but there are lots more to be thanksful for that everyone over looks in their busy lifes. As always great entry.

Maybe I just need to learn to be grateful for all this gray hair...instead of paying a small fortune to cover it up... ;)
