Voice and Silence

Some days there are no words left to be spoken.
The silence of my heart is enough
and in that stillness there is safety and contentment.
Some days I scream to be heard,
a geyser of words bubbles to the surface
from a dark, voiceless place that no woman should ever know.
I live from the parody of my days
in all their ironic truth.
I live from the contrast of full and empty,
empty and full.
I live from the places that long to be heard
and need to be spoken.

Beautiful. I am often most moved when I know I have been heard. It's powerful to give "voice" to our feelings. The blog helps with that some days. Please know that I always want to hear what you have to say.

Gorgeous picture! I love the pink hue with the purple enchanting. As your words are, always are. I love "I live from the places that long to be heard and need to be spoken." Thank you for speaking them.

Lovely. We all need those moments - sitting still with silence and also howling at the moon.

I am so glad that you are speaking some of these longings here. I live a richer life because of your words. I mean that Michelle. A richer life.
This photograph is gorgeous. Blue and purple hydrangeas are my favorite...
