Mystery

I realized it for the first time in my life: there is nothing but mystery in the world, how it hides behind the fabric of our poor, browbeat days, shining brightly, and we don't even know it.

from The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd

I love this quote! It totally ties in to a book I just started yesterday...how we search for mystery always...how we're designed for that mystery...and there it is always in front of us! Great picture too!! I hope you had a great holiday!

Great book!! And you commented on having read "the good body" I just finished it and it and really liked it, if only I could be like the African woman, I think it may take my whole life to begin to start thinking like that, maybe not..who knows.

Love this quote and love this book. The picture is so great - the birds look like little shadows of themselves against that blue sky. Happy reading!

I really like Sue Monk Kidd - I remember finding a book around the house and it was all about her life as a mom, a Christian - now she's got a new book out about her awakening to the more feminine side of God - anyway, all that to say I loved Secret Life of Bees!
