SPT {Identity - 2}

If I were a Superhero...

Superhero Name: something really sleek, sexy and foreign that would roll off Antonio Banderas' lips with grace and ease

Superhero Attire: super tight baby t-shirts
cute twirly miniskirts
stiletto heels
and maybe the occasional fishnet stockings (because hey, if I were a superhero I'd have the body to pull this off)

Superhero Powers: ability to run and jump in above mentioned stiletto heels
ability to eat whatever I want and still maintain superhero body (yes, I know, I have a shallow side)
ability to hear the words that are about to come out of my mouth before they are said so that I can quickly rewind and say something much more intelligent and sensitive therefore avoiding inserting above mentioned stiletto heels into my mouth
ability to be in two places at once so that one me could be busily working away while the other me is sipping wine at a cafe in Paris, or heck it doesn't even have to be that glamorous, I'll settle for being in bed
super human speed
go-go gadget arms
eyes on the back of my head
ability to roller skate without ever falling down
ability to slow time so that I can accomplish all the little things I'd like to do in my small bit of spare time
and, of course, ability to heal the world and save the planet

So, what about you? What are your superhero aspirations? I'd love the hear about them...

This is a great SPT!

My superhero aspirations...

ability to run on 3 hours sleep everyday no matter what and still look perfect and perform at 110%

ability to understand men

ability to walk in stiletto's 12 hours straight and look fabulous instead of the looking completely drained and in agonizing pain

ability to see the upcoming sale for EVERY store in the world.

ability to have superhuman speed for the laundry, cleaning, errands, oh heck I'd like it 24/7

ability to throw smashing parties in supreme hostess style without looking completely drained halfway thru the party due to over planning

ability to plan, shop and wrap completely for xmas in one weekend

Oh and ditto everything you said! :O)~

I just want to be able to apparate (ala Harry Potter). To appear wherever I want, whenever I want. Examples: Wish I could have dinner with my mom. Poof. I am in Indiana. Want to go to a bookstore with a friend I have met via blogging. Poof. I am there. Want to have a girls night with my friend Heather who lives in LA. Poof...ok you get the point. Practical. Fun. And when you want to disappear. Poof. Waiting in traffic. No more. Could just travel by the poof express...
Clearly I could go on and on here.

Oh dear God! If I were a superhero what would I do? I think the closet do-gooder in me would come out in a disgustingly saccharine way. I'd have to have invisibility, and super-human speed oh and a super-human intelligence (I mean, more than already ;))

Very nice SPT photo!

Love this post!!!

My superhero aspirations...

let's see...

the ability to get both kids asleep in under ten minutes before 8 am...

the ability to have a gourmet dinner made by 5pm on a table that looks smashing and everyone in their best attire and behavior.

the ability to have the entire house spotless with the flip of a switch.

okay...so it sounds more like I just need a good nanny!

..yours sounds much more exciting! I guess just the ability to walk in a pair of heels would work for me. :)

Great SPT!!

I'd like to have spring-loaded feet so I could bounce to and from. I'd like to have that bionic hearing that also understands other languages and sometimes, I'd like to be able to be invisible or a fly on the wall.

oh I love this! I must sit and think about this one especially the attire. Yours is outstanding. As is the name. Can Antonio say anything that isn't sleek and sexy?

LOVE the beads....and the shot. beads make me drool. Do you ever make your own necklaces, etc.? I was really into it for a while last year, but it got really expensive and time-consuming, just poicking out all of the stuff with a wild toddler in my arms......

anyway, i'd choose being invisible and being able to beam myself instantly anywhere.....

Love the necklace!

If I were a superhero I would be able to eat whatever I want and never exercise and still have a perfect bod.

I would be able to languidly wave my hand over any messy surface in my house and it would be instantly clean and organized.

I would be able to picture where I want to go, snap my fingers, and be there instantly - no cars and traffic involved.

I would always be able to tell true friends from the less-than-true ones so I could cherish the former and not waste time on the latter.

Actually I think I'd prefer to be the Fairy Godmother of a superhero, like Alfred is to Batman. Whatever the problem I'd have a solution; magic potions to heal wounds, sprains and broken hearts, mending kit for superhero costumes complete with fire proof thread etc. When the superhero/ine was out saving the world I'd put my feet up in front of the fire and study esoterica. :-)

I just want to fly. High in the sky.

(Oh, and be able to look hot in stilettos and tell true friends from fake friends. And to be able to love as deeply as possible with no thought of myself.)

if i were a superhero i'd be called Queen Peace and i would have the ability to mesmerise and coerce people into changing their disgusting hideous prejudices beliefs into loving open thoughtful compassion - and i would target politicians and big business and be a member of the board of all the powerful companies that run the world and i would help turn the world back into the beautiful paradise that it once was.

yes, this is such a great post...! great SPT...! and so funny because I have been rolling that idea around in my head all week for SPT! kept seeing a cape. and wind. lots of wind in my hair. who knows? I may still do it... but I really love your take on this... the necklace by andrea and what that represents, loved reading your ideas (so fun)... I wrote about this a while back (we are thinking along the same lines these days, no?) and I just think I'd love to have the power to leave chocolates and flowers on the pillows of people who really need it (this would require me to fly and be invisible, of course)...

This is so much fun ... a super hero ... mmmm...Flying, invisible would be good, that beaming up thing from Star Trek. I would have no weakness. I would be able to save all the children and animals in the world. Mean and evil people would be shocked everytime they were mean and evil.

Love reading your blog. Very moving.
