SPT {Identity - 1}

Do you want to see me?
Do you want to know me?
Look closely,
I'm here,
in the words,
in the space between the words,
in the emotion within the words,
in the memory under the words,
in the truth behind the words.
I'm really not that much of a mystery.
I'm here, all of me.
Just look closely.
I'm laying it out,
hiding nothing,
holding nothing back.
Maybe piecing the words together
is like a trying crossword puzzle,
words lined up,
across and down,
crossing each other at pivotal moments,
but I promise it's all there,
all you have to do is
look closely.

I love the idea that you are the words that you've so elequently used. You are here, in these poems, within the lines of each blog entry, and I'm so glad that you are. A poet named Beau Sia wrote a poem that begins "I don't care what you think about the way I write. I die on the page every time." I like to think that's true, that we all give a little of ourselves to our writing.

This is exactly why I like your writing, you are so honest and I feel like you really do not try to hide behind your words but show yourself through them.
