It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

There's nothing like a warm autumn afternoon,
spending all day in the sunshine,
the wind blowing my hair back softly,
picking out our very own pumpkins,
riding around in a wagon,
wandering aimlessly through an apple orchard,
tickling your naked toes,
having nowhere to go and nothing to do,
and believing, if only for a bit, that maybe time really could stand still
and if so, then you could always be this same little boy
bright eyed, fearless, and full of adventure
and I could always be this same woman
young, optimistic, full of hope, and the center of your world...

How could I want more than the beauty this day holds?

Looks like a good time! We recently lived in the tropics for five years and I really missed all of the trappings of Fall. I squealed with glee when we passed a huge produce stand out in the country recently--one that had big bins of pumpkins. We stopped...of course! I'm even looking forward to trick-or-treaters.

Today we were planning to visit a pumpkin farm, but we are soggy and gray here. Looks like a terrific day.
